Mindset for a Software Engineer

You're not learning Go just to add a language to your CV. You're learning it so you can:

  • Build network and security services that hold up in production, not just in demos
  • Review designs and PRs and know whether a proposed WAF or bot detection approach is sound
  • Use managed products well by knowing what their algorithms actually do
  • Debug the hard problems (stuck connections, TLS failures, false positives) instead of escalating them
  • Hold yourself to production standards (test coverage, graceful shutdown, observability) from experience, not checklists

The exercises are deliberately narrow (1 hour each) and deep. Breadth comes from the mini projects.
